Oregon State is big trouble
Yeah, if you stayed up to watch the Oregon State-Stanford game last night, you saw two programs quickly heading in opposite directions. Sensationalist? Maybe a bit, but you can't under-appreciate the magnitude of the Stanford win. The 36-28 score is a little deceiving, though, as Stanford looked more like the old Jim Tressel teams, using ball control, great punting and turnovers to pull out the win. One of the biggest question marks for the Beavers was whether or not they could rebuilt their front seven on defense. It looks like that dam needs more work. The Cardinal rushed for 210 yards last night. But neither team looked all that good--in fact, all the games looked like crap last night--and Oregon State is still very dangerous. Watching last night's game may have just changed my prediction for next week, we'll see.

I wouldn't say they're in big trouble. Giving up 210 yards on the ground isn't a good thing in the least, but they would've won that game in spite of that if they hadn't made so many other mistakes and capitalized on multiple good scoring opportunities.
I'm sure they'll be fine, but they need to shore up those issues quickly.
As for Stanford, I think they can go bowling this year, so hopefully they can keep up the momentum from last night.
