Sound familiar, Penn St fans? Ohio St blogs react
It's really been an odd 12 hours since Penn State went into Ohio Stadium and knocked off the Buckeyes–in front of a record 105,711 crowd, to add. For once, it is not the Penn State fans and blogs which are lamenting over the result, but rather, the participant in the last two BCS Championship Games, and winners of the last 2.5 Big Ten Titles–The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
What's even more interesting about this loss for Ohio State, are the familiar complaints which we, the Penn State nation, usually spew after these kinds of losses.
"What was most disappointing about the loss is the same litany of mistakes that keep occurring time after time when the Buckeyes play a top quality opponent," Our Honor Defend wrote. And does this sound familiar, Penn State fans? "First and foremost, the offensive line is the biggest reason Ohio State didn’t win this game."
Men of Scarlet and Gray had a small problem with Ohio State's offensive coordinator, Jim Bollman. "I don’t care what the optimists say about next year… no way this offense improves without a major change... This is because of you. Resign."
In another "Penn State-esque" critique of the game, Eleven Warriors talked about the Ohio State defensive performance. "The Ohio State defense came to play, holding the nation’s 7th ranked scoring offense to 32 points below their season average, but the Penn State defense may have outplayed them." If that's not Penn State c. 2003-04, I don't know what is.
Cheer up, Ohio State. You can still beat Michigan, right?
