Its interesting that Penn State has been knocked for a weak out of conference schedule. But taking a look at the schedules of the Top nie, only Penn State and USC have played 3 out of conference games against BCS schools. In fact here is my run down of the strength of schedule:

USC - 3 BCS schools
PSU - 3 BCS, 1 FCS
Fla - 2 BCS, 1 FCS
OK - 2 BCS, 1 FCS
Utah- 2 BCS, 1 FCS
Tex - 1 BCS
Ala - 1 BCS
Boise-1 BCS, 1 FCS
TT - 0 BCS, 2 FCS

That's right, the mighty Texas Tech played no games against any school from a BCS conference and 2 games against 1-AA teams. On top of that, it appears that only PSU and OK have beaten a conference champion, Oregon St for PSU and Cincinnati for OK. Take that Mark May.

On top of that, PSU and Utah have two common opponents, Oregon St and Michigan. Utah beat them by a combined 5 points. PSU beat them by a combined 60!
