SEC coaches, and their hats
◊ ZN's 2009 Penn State Football Preview - Just for Fun
College football has many faces. More specifically, it has many different cultures depending in which region you travel. In the North: cold weather, pounding run games. In the West: high-flying pass games, sunny beaches. In the South: hot weather, fast players... and coaches' hats. Yup, with all that heat, all that sun, coaches (most of them) have to protect themselves from the brutal weather. From The Bayou to The Sunshine State, hats are a little-known, yet somehow signature part of Southern college football. And since I didn't really feel like putting together a substantive post today, let's take a trip around the nation's most "Southern" conference, fittingly, the SEC.
I hope you enjoyed our tour of college football's greatest conference ever in the history of the universe to the max. Not only are their players faster than a Formula 1 race car, their coaches are the brightest, and best the sport has to offer. But the real star power in the SEC never carries the ball, doesn't call the plays or win the MNC every year. No, the true ultimate ruling force in the most southern of southern football, is the head coaches' hats.
Is it autumn yet?
