Sixteen votes? Really? It was a better turnout for Indiana last week. I guess it's partly my fault, getting the poll going late this week. But still, c'mon people, this game will be the difference between a guaranteed 10-win season, or another four-loss adventure though mediocrity. Readers pegged Penn State to beat Ohio State tomorrow by nearly a 3-1 margin. Playing in Happy Valley, with some obviously raging emotions on both sides of the ball, I just don't see the Nittany Lions choking this one away. Check out the full poll results after the break.

It wasn't exactly a hot button issue this week, but we still asked readers for their take on this week's game winner, as we do each week here. As you probably expected, it was a landslide victory for Penn State over Temple.

So, last week was a cute story. Syracuse pushed a pretty competitive Minnesota to the brink, fighting hard till the last whistle. But this week is another story. The Orange must travel to Beaver Stadium, and play Penn State. In this week's poll, it was a landslide in favor of a Nittany Lion win.

As you probably expected, fans pegged Penn State to win its season opener against Akron. A full 96 percent called for a victory.

The preseason if finally over, and to wrap things up, let's look at how the final polling went on our First Look series. The final edition: Michigan State. The Spartans were playing for a Big Ten title in the last game of the regular season, and pushed Georgia to the limit in the Capital One Bowl. But how will they do this season? Can they reload in the backfield?
According to voters, Michigan State should be able to keep up with its success from last season, with an eight or nine win campaign leading the way. Only a few voted for double-digit wins, and a few more said Sparty might win fewer than eight.
