White Out lawsuit; Are you kidding me?
Seriously, if you haven't heard, you probably don't want to hear. Apparently, the Phoenix Coyotes (that's hockey, folks) is pulling their old trademark on the term "white out."
This is getting rediculous now. It reminds me of the South Park episode where Stan is the new leader of Scientology. At the end of the episode, everyone said "you are sooo, sued!" This time, though, it's athletic teams that feel the need to completely forget about the fun and excitement around sports, and make it into what it shouldn't be - business. Sadly, that's what sports is, business to most people. A great, big, money-making business.
Oh well, we can only hope that this doesn't get out of hand. But hey, you never know. Penn State might come out a winner regardless of what happens. If you look at it this way, where the Penn State-version of the White Out is in the news, it just proves that Penn State is the owner of the college football "(insert color here) Out" for big games. You may remember Iowa's "Black Out" in 2005, or UM's horrible attempt at a "Maize Out" in the same year.
By the way, corn is not a color!
