Penn State wins, 45-14
As inept as Oregon State looked, this was an outstanding win by Penn State.
The Good: Quarterback Daryll Clark. When was the last time a Penn State quarterback made a debut like this? In the first two games, Clark's committed ZERO turnovers, and hasn't been sacked. But that is also due to the monster offensive line Penn State is wielding. This line is better than 2005 and 2002 combined, and those were good lines.
The Bad: QB Pressure/Pass Defense. I think as good as the defensive line was, it took too long to get to the quarterback. As a result, the pass defense gave up a few big plays. Overall though, this is being picky, as the entire defense played one hell of a game with two of the best players out.
Overall: Joe Paterno got this team going early, and the entire staff should get a big pat on the back for this one. And yes, Jay Paterno is a very, very happy camper tonight. Spread H-Freaking-D!
Later tonight, I might have some thoughts on the day's action. Including the Wake Forest win, the ECU win, and the Miami/Florida game. Tomorrow, I'll have the full Penn State game review.

I agree with your thoughts. While we looked pretty good overall, our pass defense bothers me. It didn't look like we got lots of pressure at all. Plus, I'm still not confident our secondary (and linebackers) do a good job of covering receivers.
