NLOI mid-day update

◊ So, we're almost done with completing the 2009 recruiting class. Despite what you'll read on the message boards, this is a very good class. It has, so far, addressed most, if not all of Penn State's needs going into the 2009 season. The loss of Jelani Jenkins to Florida really hurt, but isn't catastrophic. Has he signed with a rival BigTen school, then you would have seen a nuclear meltdown across the internets. Here's where we're at, right now.

Recruiting Board, NLOI Signing Day

◊ Key uncommitted: LB Jelani Jenkins, WR Justin Brown. Hopefully Penn State can land these two guys, and catapult the 2009 class into the top 7 or 6 nationally. If PSU doesn't get them, well, it's not the end of the world. This is still a fantastic class, provided we sign all of the commits so far. The latest recruiting board:

Poll Results: Jelani Jenkins

◊ Why hello there, Mr. Jenkins. The numbers are in, and despite what looks like a close battle until next week's NLOI signing day, readers are picking Penn State as Jenkins' school of choice. Recently, there's been talk that the No. 2-rated LB prospect is leaning towards Florida, so this is a bit surprising to see so many voting for PSU. We can only hope they're right.
