'Gladiator' added to custom stadium sounds

I just added a clip of the Blue Band playing the theme from Gladiator. Unfortunately, there is no custom event in NCAA 09 to match when the band actually plays it (when the opponent is facing 3rd Down), so I figured "Defense on Field" would be an ok spot for it.

Updated NCAA 09 PSU Stadium Sounds

Enjoy!

*Updated* NCAA 09 stadium sounds

I just revamped my NCAA Football 09 Custom Stadium Sounds for Penn State Fans. Now, the files can be downloaded directly from Zombie Nation. No more third-party site visit required. So take a look, and make your NCAA 09 experience a Penn State one!

ZN Exclusive: Custom Stadium Sounds

Some of you already know that I played in the Blue Band for four years, so I performed each of these songs thousands upon thousands of times at more than 30 Penn State football games, as well as bowl games. To this day, I could still play them in my sleep.

If you wish to have a completely accurate Beaver Stadium experience, follow the guide I've set up below. I've created files for every Custom Stadium Sound slot in NCAA 09, so all are accounted for.

How to do it:

First, print this guide. It will make it a whole lot easier to match the correct songs each stadium event.

Then, just click on each link. The file will automatically download.

Finally, burn all of the songs (I made an iTunes playlist) to a CD, rip to your console, and enjoy!

(Note: If you share these clips with your friends or others, please give credit to this website. I worked hard on these, and I expect at least a little courtesy. Thanks!)

Back to Work

I apologize for the light posting the last few weeks. Getting married is a busy venture. But now it's done, and time for some serious Penn State football. Later today, I'll have First Look: Indiana Hoosiers posted. The reason this week's First Look is a bit late (but hey, at least it's still up on Monday) is due to my purchasing NCAA 09 for my new XBOX 360. Yes, I tried to hold out with my PS2 long enough. EA Sports is clearly trying to cater to the new systems. Some have said the game is bad, with no real new advances. Well, I don't care because I've never owned any games in this series for a newer-generation system like 360. I will tell you that it's not all that bad. My favorite part of NCAA 09 is the custom stadium sounds. As a Penn State Blue Band alumni, I became very frustrated with EA's lack of true stadium audio atmosphere. Now, I have every little sound just right (I'm actually going to try to get my audio files up online to share), and the game sounds better than ever. Enough about that. Check back tonight for First Look: Indiana Hoosiers, and all this week as Zombie Nation kicks it into gear for the 2008 college football season.

NCAA 09 Video :: Beaver Stadium leads off "Home Field Advantage"

If it weren't for the fact that my internet is slower than Anthony Morelli scrambling, I'd have this post completely ready to go. However, I can't post the video until it's downloaded, hopefully soon. I thought it is interesting that Beaver Stadium is the first venue featured in EA Sports' NCAA 09 video entitled "Home Field Advantage." Just goes to show you that Penn State is probably the toughest place to play. I'm not talking about wins and losses. When you have teams like Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska claiming they've never heard noise like it is in the Beav, that's saying something.

Something else I noticed in this video... After the first shot of Beaver Stadium (which, by the way, shows the crowd wearing mostly blue, when everyone knows the crowd tends to look all white, even without the White Out) you never see it again. And what a douche bag Jake Long was. Maybe it was because he's only played in Beaver Stadium once, I don't know. But I'm sorry, Ohio State isn't nearly as loud as Beaver Stadium. I know, I've been there--on the sidelines--twice, just as many times as Long's been. He's just plugging The 'Shoe because it's his main rival. Or maybe he's just bitter knowing The Beav will be the largest stadium for a long time, since Michigan got caught hating the cripples.
